SafeWorks Illinois is directed by David J. Fletcher, MD, MPH,
FACOEM. Dr. Fletcher is a renowned occupational medicine specialist
board certified in occupational and preventive medicine. Dr.
Fletcher is both a Medical Review Officer and Substance Abuse
Professional. He is also certified as a Federal Aviation Administration
Senior Medical Examiner. As a pioneer in truck driver health
issues, Dr. Fletcher led the analysis of truck driver medical
certifications for the U.S. Department of Transportation in
the 1990s. He now testifies as a DOT expert witness focusing
on truck driver health issues and the quality of their medical
certifications.
