Mark Mammen of Urbana has been named director of the SAFEWORKS Illinois Return To Work Center, Champaign.
Mr. Mammen has worked as an exercise physiologist and department coordinator in occupational rehabilitation at Christie Clinic, Champaign for eight years, and was the clinical director of industrial rehabilitation for the Safety, Health and Occupational Rehabilitation for Employees (SHORE) Center, Decatur for the last two years. Mr. Mammen earned a bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education, with an emphasis in exercise science, from Illinois State University (ISU). He has served on ISU's department of Health, Physical Education and recreation Academic Advisory Board for the last five years.
The Return to Work Center offers Work Hardening, Work Conditioning, functional capacity evaluations, post job-offer and fit for duty evaluations, safety training and ergonomic job site evaluations.
The Return to Work Center is an extension of the SAFEWORKS Illinois Occupational Health Center. SAFEWORKS ILLINOIS is a privately-owned facility, equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and examining rooms. It is located at 1806 N. Market Street, right behind the Barnes and Noble store near the Market Place Mall.
David J. Fletcher, MD MPH FACOEM, who has been providing Occupational Health care in Central Illninois since 1985, is the owner and medical director of SAFEWORKS Illinois.
Mr. Mammen lives in Urbana and has two children.
